TikTok has banned And Then There Were None, one of Abby Johnson’s ministries that supports former abortion workers, helps them obtain new jobs, and provides a platform for them to tell their stories when they are ready.
The appeal of the ban, which was based upon the ‘violation of Community Guidelines’ from this reel featuring former sex-ed educator Monica Cline, has been denied. This isn’t the first time a pro-life group has been banned from TikTok – ATTWN is hoping that a similar “human error” has occurred.
Last Tuesday, ATTWN received a notice that two videos (one from June and the other from July – Monica’s video) were in violation of Community Guidelines and warned about an account ban. That ban happened on Friday, August 1st, and an appeal was placed by ATTWN. Today, Monday, August 4th, the appeal was denied. ATTWN had more than 10,000 followers, and one video reached 6.1 million views about the monthly developments of the baby in the womb and how abortion ends a life.
Abby Johnson, CEO and founder of ATTWN who is also a former abortion worker, said:
“TikTok is censoring former abortion workers, prohibiting them from telling their stories. Our account has been banned from the platform as of today for ‘violating Community Guidelines’ although they have not indicated which guidelines exactly. Our appeal has been denied and now thousands of people won’t hear from the very people who know the abortion industry the best: former workers. This is infuriating because we tell the truth – no matter how hard it is to hear.”
In the meantime, ATTWN is continuing to focus on outreach to current abortion workers and educating the public on the behind-the-scenes truth about the abortion industry through their other social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, and X).
