Yet again, a man is convicted of slipping abortion pills to his partner and ending the life of their unborn baby. This time, it was a U.S. Army Captain who was sentenced to 12 years in prison for secretly giving the mother of his unborn baby abortion pills, which resulted in the abortion of their baby.
Capt. Brandon Jones-Adams, 34, pleaded guilty to killing his unborn child, domestic violence, fraternization, and conduct unbecoming of an officer, reported Stars and Stripes. Here’s what happened:
Jones-Adams, who lived in Puyallup, met the victim in November 2024 and the two began a consensual relationship…The victim, a junior enlisted soldier, became pregnant in May 2025 when both were completing a rotation to South Korea. They redeployed to [Joint Base Lewis-McChord] during the summer of 2025.
While at home on Aug. 21, 2025, Jones-Adams poured the victim a drink. After finishing it, the victim noticed a residue in her cup, immediately suspected Jones-Adams had given her a drug, and soon after began experiencing severe cramping…
The victim started bleeding and went to the ER, where it was determined she had lost her baby.
“The abortion industry needs to answer for these cases,” said Abby Johnson, CEO and Founder of And Then There Were None and ProLove Ministries. “The woman clearly had no choice here because her partner forced her to have an abortion due to the ease of getting abortion pills.”
The case is only the most recent in a long list of stories exactly like this. Guy finds out his partner is pregnant, tries to convince her to get an abortion, she refuses, and he drugs her so she loses the baby.
“Abortion advocates accuse pro-lifers of wanting to control women, yet they give men easy and direct access to abortion pills to do just that – control women,” said Johnson. “Women deserve better than abortion and certainly deserve better than partners who actively seek out ways to end the lives of their children while putting their partner’s health at risk.”
The Abortion Pill Isn’t Safe
The largest study of women who took mifepristone, published in April 2025 by the Ethics and Public Policy Center, found that approximately one in ten women experienced serious complications, including sepsis, hemorrhaging, or infection, within 45 days of taking the medication.

Women Aren’t Being Told the Whole Truth
A peer-reviewed study published in June 2026 by the Charlotte Lozier Institute is raising fresh questions about whether women who undergo medication abortions with abortion pills are receiving adequate information about what to expect before, during, and after the abortion.
Among the survey respondents, 30% reported experiencing unexpectedly high levels of bleeding, and another 30% said the pain they felt was greater than they had anticipated. These findings point to a consistent gap between what women were told to expect and what they actually experienced.
For women who were secretly drugged by their partner, the alarm they may feel could even be much worse than that of those who took the pills intentionally.
Zero Safeguards in Place for Abortion Pills
Abortion pills are being ordered online with no in-person doctor’s visit, no verification, and no accountability. They are being shipped into states like Texas, where abortion is illegal. And they are being used as weapons – handed to women without their knowledge or consent by the very people who are supposed to love and protect them.
Abortion pills make up over 60% of all abortions in the United States. They are easy to access and cheaper than surgical abortion. Anyone can go online and get them, even for free. Last year, Abby Johnson tested how easy it is to get a hold of abortion pills by going through Aid Access’ website. This is the same company that is being sued for wrongful death for giving abortion pills to a man in Texas who used them to spike the drink of his partner, causing the death of his unborn baby.
“No matter where you stand on abortion, I think we can all agree that women deserve to know the truth about the inherent risks of abortion, especially when they can get those abortion pills so easily and have no medical oversight whatsoever,” said Johnson.
