Quitters Head to the March for Life and Witness to the Horror of Abortion

No one grows up wanting to work in an abortion clinic yet many people do. Most go into the job wanting to help women yet when they figure out they are doing the opposite, many feel stuck and without a way to provide for themselves or their families. Those are the people And Then There Were None is trying to reach.

“When I left Planned Parenthood, I just assumed there was a ministry that helped former abortion workers find healing after such traumatic experiences but there were none. God called me to do it and since 2012, we have helped over 755 abortion workers quit their jobs and find hope and healing,” said Abby Johnson, CEO and Founder of And Then There Were None and ProLove Ministries. “Moreover, 64 abortion clinics have closed as a result of our work helping clinic employees to quit their jobs in those clinics.”

The vast majority of these former abortion workers had no one to talk to about their jobs. Some of their families had no idea where they worked. Many had had previous abortions, and others had become addicted to substances as they tried to cope with what they were experiencing at the abortion facility. Now, with the help of ATTWN, they have found their tribe. They have found people who deeply understand exactly where they have been.

And at this year’s March for Life in Washington, DC, they were witnesses to the thousands of pro-lifers who read their signs, “I used to work in the abortion industry.”

“No one understands abortion like these women. They deserve to be heard,” said Abby.

Abby herself spoke at the Pro-Life Summit on Saturday, the day after the March, and other Quitters, as they are lovingly called within ATTWN, spoke on a panel at the same conference.

The Quitters in attendance all stood with Abby after her talk. They all have eerily similar experiences, heard the same things within their own clinics, and left with a lot of healing to do.

One of the Quitters, Noemi Padilla, who now works for ATTWN as a Client Advocate, said that this instance was a crucial moment for her:

“Receiving a standing ovation at the opening of the Students for life Summit when we stood with Abby and she let them know we were all Quitter – we all felt the love and so so humbled,” she said. “We legit all cried.”

It’s so important to support these women (and some men) who have turned their backs on the abortion industry, who have heard the lies and rejected them, and whose voices need to be heard.

Noemi also got to meet the former Hercules star, Kevin Sorbo. She said that when he found out they were all Quitters, that “he TOTALLY loved on us and uplifted us.”
